Ingredients VetPlus Coatex Hair and Skin Food Supplement for Dogs and Cats

Coatex EFA contains a proven blend of Omega 3 and Omega 6 EFAs. The amounts are specifically formulated to support cat health, and is a better blend of ingredients than using a single source of EFA such as primrose oil. All our products are manufactured in Lytham, Lancashire, to GMP standards.

- Linoleic acid (LA) - omega 6 especially useful in maintaining normal skin regeneration and barrier function.
- Gammalinolenic acid (GLA) - omega 6 not widely available but very useful in maintaining skin health.
- Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) - omega 3 known for its importance in many bodily functions.
- Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) - omega 3 known for different actions in the body and skin.
- Vitamin E - powerful antioxidant.
- Vitamin A - fat soluble vitamin that helps maintain healthy skin and coat.
- Vitamin D - fat soluble vitamin that helps skin renewal.

Description VetPlus Coatex Hair and Skin Food Supplement for Dogs and Cats

All animals need optimal nutrition to maintain good health. On some occasions and in certain dogs the diet cannot always provide this optimal nutrition and must be supplemented, as the dog is not able to synthesize certain nutrients on its own. One of these groups of nutrients are Omega 3 and Omega 6 Essential Fatty Acids (EFA).

Lack of essential fatty acids (EFAs) can cause problems such as dry, flaky or itchy skin and skin irritations that contribute to other problems such as atopic dermatitis in dogs and cats. Oral supplementation of Omega 3 and 6 has been shown to improve the epidermal barrier and aid in the treatment of skin diseases.

 

ADMINISTRATION

For optimal results administer for at least 4 weeks:

- Over 10kg 1 pulsation per day

- Between 10-20kg 2 pulses per day

- Between 20-40kg 3 pulses per day

- Less than 40kg 4 pulses per day
